code of conduct

  • The workshops we hold are intended to focus on creativity, Asian and Asian diaspora voices, and will be an LGBT+ friendly space. 

  • As such, please: 

    • be respectful of religions, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, political positions etc., that are different from your own 

    • make original work during the workshop (work related to pre-existing original projects of your own is fine!)

  • STRICTLY NO: 

    • plagiarism 

    • homophobia 

    • transphobia 

    • racism 

    • sexism 

    • misogyny 

    • nazism/anti-semitism 

    • hate speech

    • explicit sexual content 

 

  • By using the Discord server, you acknowledge and accept that: 

    • you are over 16 years of age;

    • moderators will be present to ensure discussions remain healthy and constructive; and

    • if a moderator is made aware that you have violated the above-mentioned code of conduct, the moderator has the right to issue a warning and/or terminate your access to the discord server at their discretion.

  • People of different skill levels and experience are all welcome, as long as you are committed to creating, and respectful of other participants. 

  • However, due to logistical limitations, please understand that not all applications to join our workshops may be accepted in the interests of running a safe and successful event. We reserve the right to turn down a workshop application.

  • By joining the Discord and taking part in activities organised by moonmaker inc., you (“The Participant”) hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

    • The Participant accepts that the sharing of derivative or transformative work (i.e. fan art, fanfiction, etc. ) is allowed on the Discord channel where appropriate. 

    • The Participant undertakes that, whilst participating in workshops, any resulting artwork shared or submitted (“The Materials”), will be their own original creation and not a derivative or transformative work. The Participant warrants that they are the sole owner, author and creator of the materials, including the subjects depicted therein if any, and that the Participant has the full right and authorisation to submit the materials to moonmaker inc. 

    • The Participant hereby grants moonmaker inc. a license to use the materials for compilations and/or promotional purposes no longer than one (1) year after the date of first submission. The Participant accepts that moonmaker inc. may approach them in the future for permission to use the materials in exhibitions and publications, and that the Participant may give or refuse the permission to do so.
